Your hosts Graham & Richard Chennells are both born and bred Zululanders. Graham has an intimate knowledge of the Zulu people and has been involved in community projects for many years. He has been Mayor of Eshowe, and is a Rotarian, businessman, paratrooper,former Duzi Canoe marathon singles winner, Brewmaster, farmer and retired sportsman.
Richard has visited breweries all over the world (Sierra Nevada USA, Young’s UK, XXXX Castlemaine AUS, Otter Creek, James Squires, Fullers, Meantime Brewing and many, many more). He has worked at expos and shows overseas marketing South Africa as a tourist destination for SA Tourism. He did a brew masters course through The American Brewers Guild in 2005 and has been a chef in a few restaurants in London. He worked in the UK for The London Stock Exchange, Barclays Capital and finished last year at Bank of America in their credit derivatives division. Richard likes paddling, has completed 5 Duzi’s and is Chairman of the Eshowe Canoe Club. He enjoys cycling and is passionate about beer and promoting Eshowe.
